DESCRIPTION:

Over the course of all my years of mentoring the most popular question that I am asked is this:

How do I know when a painting is done? And, how do I not overwork my painting?

I could give you the short answer to these two questions, but that would take all the fun out of this potent self-inquiry process. We will be learning how to build an intimate relationship with your paintings to build self-awareness. You will learn the tools to know how to answer this question for yourself in the future.

Here is what we will be doing in the workshop:

• Sharing any work you might have questions about.

• Learning tools to gain confidence and trust in yourself, whether your painting is done or not.

• Partaking in group discussions to investigate a painting’s status. Is it done, in progress, and/or overworked?

• Lauren will share some of her own work where she has overworked or left pieces incomplete. 

Perfect for those with half-painted surfaces or paintings that have stumped you with the burning question- is it finished yet?
