I'm Lauren Mantecón

Helping people return to themselves through creativity, contemplation, and intuitive practice.

I am a professional artist, mentor, and spiritual seeker with an MFA in Painting and more than three decades of experience creating, teaching, exhibiting, and exploring the possibilities of painting and mixed media.

Over those years, I have developed a deep and practical understanding of materials, process, composition, color, image-making, and the many ways an artist can approach the creative process. I bring that experience into my teaching—not to impose a particular way of making art, but to give you the knowledge, skills, and perspective you need to discover and develop your own.

At the same time, I believe technique is only part of the story.

The deeper question is: What are you trying to say? What wants to emerge through you? And what happens when you learn to listen?

Through painting, mixed media, contemplative art practices, and intuitive exploration, I help artists and creative seekers develop their skills while also cultivating a deeper relationship with their own creative voice.
