Stacy and I have been collaborators and friends for decades. It was a pleasure to sit down with her and gleam at her treasure trove of knowledge and what makes her tick as she balances her studio practice between being a working artist, mentor, and educator for Golden Paints.

Unveiling Stacy's Artistic Journey

Stacy shares her experiences as a full-time artist, having owned a gallery in Park City and exploring different artistic mediums. She calls herself a material Junkie. With a diverse background. Her artistic perspective is richly influenced by her surroundings and personal experiences. She shares her personal journey of attending graduate school in sculpture and ceramics, only to realize it wasn't the right fit for her.

Stacy’s Current Work is an investigation into portraiture as well as the figure and how deeply personal it is to her as she works to discern what identity is, how to capture the essence of an individual, and how humanity is all connected.

"The Space Between," intent and intuition in art. The workshop will explore the role of intention in creating artwork and utilizing materials while recognizing the value of intuition and allowing the painting to guide the process. The focus on somatic experiences and personal artistic processes promises a unique and introspective exploration.
