Welcome Painters and Artists

My name is Lauren Mantecon and I have been making art, exhibiting, and teaching for three decades. I have mentored in a variety of settings- from the halls of academia to specialty workshops. I have an intuitive approach to painting. I have mastered a plethora of mixed media/painting techniques over the years that I share in my mentoring practice.

I help artists discover their individualized style.

Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, I believe art can heal the world. Especially, when we work together as a community either through workshops or my community membership. We are not alone in our fears and imagined limitations. Building confidence takes practice.

It all starts with building a foundation from which to leap. Whether that is a body of work, a singular learned technique, or someone to just share what we do for feedback.

Sometimes we hold ourselves back. We stop taking risks because we have found a way or look that is simply "good enough.” It may be accepted by our peers and even collectors, but you know deep inside there is more- so much more.
