Ready to take your art process to the Next Stage of its Development?

Dive Deep is a 9-month program that serves as a shared container with a group of 10 artists maximum who are committed to bringing their work to their personal best and for some highest professional level.

We begin March 9th 2024 via Zoom

All meetings are the second Saturday of the month approx. 3 hours 1:00- 4:00pm

October 10th- 13th 2024- 10:00- 4:30pm Live Workshop, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Whether you are working for just yourself or wanting to prepare for higher standards in the market world, I truly believe it is a gift to self when we can find clarity as to exactly what we are doing in our process and why. Art heals- first ourselves then the world.

There is something magical that transpires when being in a committed container with a group of artists who set intentions and support each other in their technical growth and meaningful content as they prepare to step into higher visibility with the work they make.

We show up working with and loving exactly where we are in the present moment.

Some Tools You Will Gain:

Confidence in the work that you make
Better discernment in your process by cultivating more advanced skills and trust in knowing when work is done, when it needs more or less, or just needs a break.
Learn intention by setting realistic goals, as we practice accountability within our shared container
Break through the dreaded artist statement- as powerful tools are practiced and given to move away from the generic artist statement into a more individualized and empowering way to communicate our art practices to the world
Build long-lasting relationships in a safe container

The Details:

All meetings are on the second Saturday of the month from 1-4 pm MST. The dates are as follows: February 10, March 9th, April 13th, May 11th, June 8th, July 13th, August 10th, September 14, October 12th. *Depending on which month the workshop is one of these time dates may change in September or October.
All meetings will be recorded
We will have one virtual workshop on Saturday, May 11th from 10:30- 3:00 with a lunch break. Demonstrations will be provided upon request.
A 5-day in person workshop at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico in September or October, *exact dates TBD

In Our Time Together

My role is to serve as your guide. Gently pushing you beyond your comfort zone into new artistic territory. Along the way, I will share poignant practical and philosophical material gathered over my 25+ years of study that I have found to be effective and inspirational.

Prompts will be given monthly that serve to integrate varied techniques into art making, providing novel inspiration and propelling your creative life force forward.

Dive Deep is designed to give voice to your unconscious self through artistic expression. My role as your guide is to support each individual in the technical skills your wanting to achieve, that best supports the content you are wanting to express.

A key element of the program involves connection- linking ourselves to each other while deepening our relationship to our art practice along the way. You will be selected for the Dive Deep program based on your artistic curiosity and ability.

What you receive for being in the program:

· Monthly Theme and Art Prompt - Each month centers on a theme and a focused art prompt. The 8 months build upon each other ending with personalized presentations.

Supplementing reading material for discussions that include philosophical theories that relate to art theory that include artists of the past and present.

· Monthly Zoom Session - Each online session explores the monthly theme and art prompt in-depth. It also allows us to share and build the strength of our connection. We meet on a Saturday once a month- see the dates and times below. All sessions are recorded.

· Three Private Sessions with Lauren - 40-minute sessions to discuss progress, process, techniques, and the work you are doing. ( All sessions to be used during the course of 8 months together).

· One Virtual Saturday Workshop - Intensive- explores issues requested by participants that include demonstrations while painting together live stream. May 11th from 10:30- 3:00

4 Day Workshop Live in Lauren’s Studio - Santa Fe, New Mexico

· Buddy System - A partnership within the group allows us to be accessible to each other and adds another layer of support. Partners change every two months.

· Presentation & Statement -The culmination of the program prepares each participant with the ability to present their work to the group and give an artist statement.

· Supplemental Reference Materials - Supportive reference and reading materials to complement the monthly prompt and theme
