~ Navigating Dimensions ~ My Journey Through Dreams, Art, and Spiritual Awakening

This post was inspired by a conversation I recently had with Kara Goodwin on her podcast The Meditation Conversation. We discussed the similarities between meditation and art practice in the episode Tools for Evolving Consciousness

Our internal dialogue can get quite loud while we are painting. For years my studio would be crowded while I was engaged in the act of creating. Voices of past instructors, critics, and galleries that represented me flooded the space. Am I good enough? Is this shit? What would so-and-so think? Is this going to sell? You get the idea.

To be able to quell those voices and get back to my center took quite a lot of practice. Like a meditation, we return to breathe, ground back to ourselves, and begin again.

We have to take claim in our own imaginations. We must allow for flow and grace to enter into our sphere of consciousness. All we need for this to happen is to become conscious of our breathing and take our hands to the surface. Worry about the details later!

We can make adjustments, refine, and judge later. But during the act of artmaking itself, we should fully immerse ourselves in the present, allowing it to permeate every cell, ensuring we don't miss a single moment of mindfulness.

This is the point where the paths of creativity and spirituality converge, where the meditative state can be viewed as a counterpart to the artistic process.

For instance, take a moment right now to notice your breathing.

Is it shallow or deep? Can you feel the long slow exhale as you take in the energy around you? Can you breathe down to the core of your belly and then release it fully?

This is how one easily enters a present state of awareness.

For me, my best paintings come from this place. I wish I could say I live there all the time, but I am human. Consequently, I rush, I hold, I forget to breathe and then I judge myself for doing all those things!

This is Presence

In exploring the significance of presence, I have come to understand the subtle ways in which individuals can influence not only each other but also deepen the relationship with the work we make and long to bring out into the world. Imagine if we all took the time to slow down and breathe a collective breath, what that would do for the world? This is an energetic presence.

My time with Kara Goodwin was spent discussing my art practice. How I traverse the boundaries between seen and unseen worlds and the act of translating incorporeal ideas onto a surface. I have spent decades translating my spiritual and metaphysical practices into the paintings I make. I’ve paid attention to dreams and learned to reclaim my intuition through shamanic studies. I’ve worked with visions and guides to bridge the gap between the mundane reality and a 3d world beyond the physical.

I share some profound personal experiences that have taught me how to anchor the light of “unseen forces.” My role as an artist is as simple as showing up and paying attention so I can anchor higher frequencies. I delve into the concept of individuals being antennas or anchors, carrying high frequencies to benefit those around them. By simply existing and offering unique vibrations, these individuals contribute to the collective awakening and transformation.

P.S. !! There’s More!

Given all the recent UFO whistleblowers in the mainstream News! You might be interested in our discussion on the work of Dolores Cannon towards the end of the podcast. Some of her theories may seem pretty out there. Still, over the last decade, she seems to be gaining more traction and popularity in a world that is looking for an understanding of a vast multi-dimensional universe.

Dolores Cannon (1931–2014) was an American hypnotherapist internationally renowned for her work in the field of past life regression and paranormal research. Cannon published numerous books on metaphysics, reincarnation, UFOS and aliens, and Nostradamus. For videos on her work go HERE.
